Watery Outdoors on a Wednesday

 kids oblivious of the difficulties of existence, contented with the free gifts of nature
color of the water due to mineral deposits, evidenced by the exposed rocks

color of water after the rains, soils eroded from the uplands carry mineral deposits

    You were wondering about my first shot. The part that holds the reflection of the sky is ice covered with a thin layer of water. That is why there is no waves in that area.

  19. I'd love to be on that passenger ship. What a wonderful thing to be a kid...no worries as people take care of you:) You are so right about one. Wouldn't it be fun to go back and do the things we used to do for a little while?:) Say hi to those we haven't seen in awhile. Could be fun:)

  25. What a delightful contrast of photos...my heart lingers on the children in water.

    Oh, how I wish I had lingered longer when my children were playing and taken more pictures to browse when like now, the gray strands are pushed aside trying to imagine those days when they built sand castles and moats on the beach.
