Skywatching Pastime

There are very few weekends i don't go home to the province for the butterflies and hoyas. Looking for butterflies means i have to go for a walk to the slightly wild surroundings or to the less traveled paths; that i have to encounter a lot of mosquitoes, insects, spiders and their webs on my body and a lot more of unexpected incidents, nice and bad! These walks end with itchy skin, though i use rash guards, sometimes scratches or when i inadvertently slip there are some bruises. Sometimes these stayed with me for the next few days while already in the office in the city. But that is my body complaining, yet my mind and heart is contented and happy. I love doing it and will continue till i still can. Meanwhile, i am now in the city, did not go home, intended to rest and clean my condo unit, and do whatever task i've always laid aside.

So when these weekends happen, i always have the sunsets to have a semblance of being with nature while inside the concrete jungle! The photos are all taken from the 5th Floor Window!

I included the dates and time the pictures are taken. They are all Straight out of the Camera, no alterations, not even cropping.

More Sunsets

Our sunsets before the rainy season are always spectacular. Whether we view them near bodies of water or from mountains or from our windows, they are always beautiful. And scenes always change within that short span of 15-30 minutes before and after the sun sets. Here are another set from my 5th Floor Window. They are all SOOC.

Sky Watch May 2018

When there are plenty of things we are obliged to do,
but the call for blogging is urging us too,
what will i do!

I am so privileged, as i have lots of sunsets from my 5th Floor Window. And i can post them SOOC, straight ouf of the camera.

There really are times when there are lots of photos to post, from flowers-to critters-to waterfalls-to travels. Yet the inspiration of bunching them up together in a post is not enough to push us on. Yet at other times, the push to post is seemingly more urgent despite lots of more things that needed attention. So here i am, being suddenly swayed by the push....

And here are my Sunsets for Rescue, all taken at wide angle of the same horizon (pls. mouse over to enlarge).

Skywatching Time

When at home in the city, in my very little corner of the world, literally my very small condo unit in the building, this is what i do!

5th Floor Window Sunsets 2016

I hope you still remember my horizon, my sunsets. I am sorry for posting almost the same looks, as that is the only horizon i got from my 5th Floor Window.

I have posted these style the previous years to compare the position of the sun's view in relation to the objects in my horizon. This just shows the movement of the earth in its rotation in one day, and in relation to the sun in a year's time. I noticed the single path for the first 7 months or until July, after which the the sun was observed coming back to the original position. To the astronomers and physicists, that will mean very different things, but for me that is just a wonderful way for my sunsets not to be boring. Can you imagine what i will feel if the sun is always on top of the spire of that Iglesia ni Kristo church? I might not be too eager to watch my sunrise if that happens.

Another nice thought is the reality that our earth is still moving. Or else we might be at the end of our state! I will be too alarmed when that happens! God bless.

Skywatching Again

Those of you who have been browsing or following my posts for so many years are familiar with the scenes through my 5th Floor Window. Yes, you remember right, they are mostly sunsets. But of course, i am at the west side of the building and i don't regret that fact. I am making the most out of it and so far i am very contented from the scenes i see, except for some what we call the price of progress and development. They can be ignored when shot in silhouette. And sometimes i just need not care, just ignore those negative scenes.

We all know that sunsets are like fingerprints or DNA sequences. They change in minutes even at the same viewing point, change through space too. In a 30 minute afternoon, we can produce a lot of sunset scenes. My angle is less than 180 degrees, but i can be contented with that, or else i might not be able to manage otherwise. For this post i will show samples of them through the months of watching, I hope you can feel the enthusiasm i had when taking them. Have a nice evening!
