So who needs to go out on weekends? I certainly cannot trade-in the time outside, as I might miss my sunsets, or i will miss the birds alighting the tree just below my window. And the picture of the sky changes so fast, I might miss a cloud formation looming in the distance. So can you blame me for confining my body inside this four corners of space?
I am showing you the changes in my west sky when I get out of bed in the morning till the sun sets. And these photos only happened in one day, 11 November 2012, to be exact.
The tallest structures in my skyline are the Iglesia ni Kristo Church at the left, the television tower at the center and a condominium unit at the right. This is the wide angle shot at 6:30am, when i woke up.
A larger shot of the Iglesia ni Kristo Church
this clouded sky is at noon
my west sky started to change color immediately before the sun sets at 5:25pm, this is at 5:30pm
a few minutes after the sunset, 5:40pm
It is a fiery afternoon, would you agree
an umbrella tree at the distance has a beautiful silhouette
a coconut tree near it is fully illuminated too
Beautiful set of pictures! Love the color of setting sun.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful world you have, Andrea!! And incredible skies as well! Superb captures for the day! Hope you have a great week!
ReplyDeleteAaarggh! Why do you leave these photos so SMALL!? I wanted to see this incredible sunset on FULL SCREEN! Gorgeous skies, Andrea... and yes, it's a beautiful world you have. :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks Francisca, okay I will edit to large, haha! I told my friend just now, even if i don't have money, at least i have wonderful sunsets!
DeleteNow they are great, Andrea! :-)
DeleteGreat shots of a dramatic sunset. My favourite is the sixth down.... that strong blue looks fantastic against those vivid oranges and pinks.
ReplyDeleteA great kaleidoscopic view of the western sky in your part of the world. Images like this will put one in a contemplative moodand heal the soul.
ReplyDeleteGreat to have a view from one's window - mine is not as outstanding as yours but suffices
ReplyDeleteA beautiful documentation of your daily view. Well worth staying home for.
ReplyDeleteAndrea, historically we too have had volcanos, just no eruptions during white man memory.
What beautiful skies. Who can dispute what a wonderful view you have of the world from within your 4 walls.
ReplyDeleteThat was excellent, and such changes through the day. Lovely. Thank you for sharing on IA!
ReplyDeleteWow, with this to look at out your window every day, you are already blessed. You don't need a lake, though I agree it is a very different effect. Your pictures are soooo good and the sunset put on a magnificent show for you. The church is inspiring and historic ... not sure about a TV station in the middle of it. They couldn't build it somewhere else? But it is an interesting feature :) Love the pictures and so glad you came to see me. Will meet again soon ...

Hi Andrea, it is a bit uncomfortable writing to someone also with my name! But I am glad because it is serendipitous, maybe! Yes I am blessed for having sunsets in my city home, and sunrise in my province home. I guess i just need a tripod for the moon, haha! Thanks for your kind words.
DeleteYou definitely have a beautiful view from your window. The sunset is spectacular, but the view throughout the day is simply wonderful.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos! I also have the same view everyday. :)
ReplyDeleteMy Ruby.

PS: The main airport of Oman (Muscat) is about 45 minutes from Dubai.
You certainly do have a gorgeous view from your window!
ReplyDeleteThe sunset is fabulous and you have such a nice view of it. It was interesting reading your previous post about the different types of ladybugs. I don't know if we have such diversity in northern BC.
