    1. Nobody sees the face on that face, maybe as a camouflage. The eyes become the hair and it even has thick eyebrows. Can you see it now?

  7. What baby isn't adorable? That second shot made me chuckle. How is it that the grasshoppers are all lined up like that? They look like they have come off a manufacturing production line.

    1. Yes Jennifer, they are adorable and they occupy almost the length of an amaryllis leaf. Actually there's still a lot there. Their mother is teaching them the art of military training, and it is marching time, haha! However, i didn't see their mother. Imagine that was my first time to see grasshopper babies or grasshopperlets!

  8. Hi Andrea,
These are so cute! But they have a hungry look on their faces. Hope they aren't too hungry after all.

    1. haha, David you are the first person to put it that way. I've tried to see it the way you do, but i don't get that idea, maybe that gets into your head because of the big eyes. Or is it because they are all very young and needs to grow!

    1. Wendy, you are so kind. I got a macro lens, and I don't want to go to the office anymore, just want to roam around and look for minute things, haha!

  24. i was amazed when i saw this plant at my neighbor's garden...she gave me a pot.:p now i see roots under those tiny new growth on the leaves. what do you call this plant?

    ReplyDelete

    1. That is also the same plant i put in my other site, the 'mother of thousands' or Kalanchoe daigremontiana. It is very invasive, it only looks nice at that stage. You should read my short paragraph about it@POG. It will be a problem in the future!

  27. My favourite is picture no. 3 - it reminds me of a book, The Good Earth by Pearl S. Buck and a legend about war in China, "The 3 Kingdoms".

    1. I think I've read that PS Buck book, but i dont remember the story anymore! I love how other people see these shots as transforming these critters as cute, other than what they really are!
