Batangas Bay, Philippines Skywatch Friday 24 Dec 2010

I woke up at 5:30 am, a bit cold at ~23C, others are still asleep because sunrise will still be at 6:15am. I walked for 5 min to reach this area which has less trees to openly see the Batangas Bay, Philippines. The sea is calm these days when the monsoon is from the Northeast.

I will show you the progression of the scenes as i viewed it in my viewfinder, and these photos are directly uploaded from the camera, with only resizing done.

At the horizon beyond this bay is the Batangas International Port

  2. The view looks so tranquil and peaceful. A good place to celebrate the holidays away from commotion. Thanks for posting those pics.

I don't know if you read my response to one of the comments you left on my blog. My blog is about our farm in probably the least known municipality in Isabela. If ever you find yourself one day in our province do let me know, you are most welcome to visit.

  4. Great composition, Andrea! An artist paints like a photographer while a photographer takes photos that look like painted pictures and works of art. If I am in the Philippines, I'll drop by your house and have a Christmas feast with you by the seaside. We can watch the sunset on Christmas eve and the sunrise on Christmas day ;>)

Have a wonderful Christmas, my dear friend!

  13. Thanks for sharing these wonderful pictures, Andrea. The view is spectacular and I'm glad you got up early to get these pictures. Loved the way you've caught the changing colours!

About your question on my blog, yes...that dendrobium is special. It's not cheap either. The other orchid that women wear on their hair is the Foxtail orchid but that blooms in April only.

Wishing you the best for 2011. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

  17. Hi Andrea. Nature Notes is similar to Sky Watch or any other meme. On Wednesdays you write a blog post with a photo of anything to do with Mother Nature. Then you come to my website and sign into the linky thing like you would for Sky Watch and visit other Nature Notes bloggers. After everyone is done then I take all the blogger Nature Notes photos and make a collage of them usually on Friday just so we can see what we all posted about. I hope this clears things up...Michelle
