These colder temperatures are just spill-over effects from our temperate neighbors in the north like Siberia and Northern China. They are in deep winter so the cold winds reach us still colder, despite the distance! This time also our skies are the most dramatic. In the afternoon clouds are low in the horizon making our sunsets lovelier than during the dry season. And I will show you some of them here, again taken from my 5th Floor Window!
The top photos are taken in the same day.
The above three photos are the progression of the sky also in one day.
This one photo seldom happens, but i took it as a comparison that sometimes our sun is not very bright too, as seen from here. Maybe the conditions at the horizon did not cooperate to give our usual red sunset, however the clouds are still making the horizon with dramatic landscape. But this scene actually is still early, it gets a bit brighter and redder a few minutes after!
Do you agree?
Agree :)
ReplyDeleteLove the cooler months of the Philippines, when the temperatures just feels right and not too hot.
Nice sky shots!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colors and sky images!
ReplyDeleteWhat vibrant skies you can look forward to when you look out your window! Enjoy your cooler weather. It's cold where I live!
ReplyDeletewhoa! what spectacularly vivid shots you took.
ReplyDeletewe are having a very warm winter here in california. out here in the northern part our temps are between 19-21. it would be a lot warmer in the LA area.
Oh so your temps are almost like ours now here. The temperatures in Baguio City reaches a down of 8C and the vegetables are destroyed due to frost, and we have high prices of them now! Even flowers in the highlands are sufferring.
DeleteBeautiful, dramatic and colorful skies and your captures are terrific, Andrea!! Thanks for sharing! Hope you have a great weekend!!
ReplyDeleteThank you very much Sylvia for the kind words and the visit.

ReplyDeleteYou do have some gorgeous skies in this season. I especially like your dramatic photos with the clouds in the three photos taken the same day. All of your pictures are beautiful.

ReplyDeleteCher Sunray Gardens
Great series of final moments!
ReplyDeleteI will have to remember these months. My cold body cannot take those hot summer temps!!!! And the humidity! This would be perfection to me:) Such pretty sunrises:)
ReplyDeleteI can understand that fully well Kreesh, just like my hot-bloodied body which cannot withstand your winter. I pity the migrants who grew up here and settled with negative double digits in Canada!
DeleteWell----whatever your season, I love your photos of the sunset --and other views from your window…. LOVE them all!!!! I am one who loves winter (although our recent frigid temperatures here which are rare for us, are not my favorite part of winter)… I generally like colder temps rather than HOT… Summer is my least favorite season --since I really HATE very hot weather. Luckily we don't have to much of that either most years… SO--I mostly am saying that in this country, we are living in the best area---right in the middle!!!!!
ReplyDeleteKeep those gorgeous photos coming.
Hugs,
Betsy
