Small, Petite, Cute Plus

My title speaks for my post, i wonder if I should still put words here.

I have always been posting Hibiscus flowers before, plenty of them. Also I have already posted a bouquet almost similar as this one, but i posted the individual flowers. This time I am showing the individual stamens and stigma. It is quite fascinating to see the variations in color of these flower parts, in contrast with the main color of the petals. You will have the idea of the petal colors from the background color of the stamen and stigma.

the deep throat of this variety is so lovely

...while the pinkish subtle hue of this one is so femininely innocent!

All of those are gathered in a  bouquet for a center table piece. This is used during the inauguration of a building inside the university. The scientist breeder responsible for developing these hibiscus hybrids is a friend, Dr. Pablito Magdalita, also a biotechnologist and breeder of papaya.

  15. That bunch is stunning! While flowers are beautiful to look at, it's when you take a close look, such as the stamens, that I am amazed at how beautiful they are.

  17. Fabulous close-up shots. You just don't realise how amazing the whole structure of the Hibiscus is until you take a very close view. That's an amazing table centrepiece too! Those Hibiscus blooms look absolutely fantastic.

  28. Hi Andrea, I just wanted to answer your question on the Today's Flowers homepage about the thumbnails that disappear. To save space on the blog, we always delete the thumbnails of the previous post along with the link, but we leave the names of our participants just in case people still want to visit them. We also delete Mr. Linkie early to prevent people from entering their new photos on the old post where most of us wouldn't see them. I usually do this early on the Friday night or Saturday morning before the new post is shown. I think I was a bit late this time due to not being able to get on my computer. I hope this makes sense but if you have any more questions please write to me at my hotmail address: luvinwildlife@hotmail.com

  29. The bouquet of Hibiscus is exquisite. I have never done a formal bouquet before as I find them quite impossible to arrange with their fine stalks. I will usually just plonk the whole bunch into a vase, an image of which is in a draft-post of red hibiscus which I intend to publish this later. Thanks for dropping by.
